The Durwood Legacy Ch. 4.2

Rose went to school after having her punishment lifted and couldn't stop thinking about the Prom. As soon as she got home, she immediately got ready.

Even though she didn't have a date, she was really excited to go meet up with her friends. As soon as she heard the limo pull up, she ran outside.

Right before the driver pulled away, Rose threw one last nervous glance towards the house.

Rose had an overall amazing time at the prom although albeit a few snags along the way.  She got turned down for a dance, and someone poured juice on her friend so she got into a fight.  But she ended up winning prom queen and really enjoyed herself!

Payton and Portia finished learning all of their skills, so they spent all of their free time with their Imaginary Friends.  Payton's is named Puzzle and Portia's is named Boinky.

Rose woke up one morning at the crack of dawn and decided to use the few hours she had before school to go looking for the Rainbow Gem she needed to turn Cuddles real.  Unfortunately, the police still considered 5am to be past her curfew, so she was brought home immediately by police escort.

Less than 24 hours after her last punishment was lifted, Rose was grounded again.

After making everyone's beds after school, Cycl0n3 lifted her punishment and she immediately restarted her search.

Besides looking around town, she also went back to the consignment store to see if they had any gems in stock.  Unfortunately, they didn't.

When nothing else was working, she went back to drilling all around town.  Even if she didn't find the gem right away, she found lots of other items she could sell.  Her unfinished bedroom was still a top priority.

The next day, it was Maeve and Maisie's birthdays.  Maeve was up first.

And then it was Maisie's turn.

The twins couldn't look more different from one another if they tried.

The girl's inventories were stocked with awards and keepsakes from field trips past, so Andee devoted an area of the home where they could display their accomplishments.

After seeing the provocative way his daughter was deciding to dress, Cycl0n3 immediately signed her up for an after school program in order to keep her out of trouble for at least a few afternoons of the week.  Now Maisie is enrolled in the Drama Club.

Not one to be left out, Maeve expressed that she also wanted to be enrolled in an afterschool program, so Cycl0n3 signed her up for the Debate Club.

The twins were rarely paid attention from anyone besides Andee before, but now that the older set have become teenagers they've stepped in to help pick up some of Cycl0n3's slack.

Maeve even finished potty training Portia.

Rose was almost always absent from the house because she spent her free time drilling around town.  One night, as she was drilling in the backyard she found an underground mine!

She went down to investigate..

And returned with many goodies including a new gnome!

The daily routine still hadn't changed since the youngest girls were born.  Andee was left home with them in the mornings, and when Cycl0n3 and the girls came home, she left for work.  One morning she came to the sad realization that it just wasn't working for her anymore.  She loved her family and she loved Cycl0n3, but not in the same way she had before.  Her feelings for him were more platonic than romantic.  Years of focusing on the children instead of each other had finally taken its toll.

Although it wasn't a hostile confrontation, Andee did express her frustration with the situation. In the end, Andee and Cycl0n3 got a divorce but came to the agreement that they should still live together for their children.

Are you noticing that a certain room on the right side of the house has windows?  That's because Rose has made over 11,000 Simoleons selling all of her findings this week so she finally finished her room!

Rose is loving all of the money she is making with her findings, and is now becoming addicted to having nice things.  In order to insure that money will keep coming in, she became a business partner of the local diner.  (I don't think I've ever had such an ambitious teenager).

The next day, Rose was back to her mood-swing ways that I know and love.  She stole the school's tests and passed them out to everyone.

She also picked on her sister.  (She's not a huge fan of Maisie).

Cycl0n3 was still having trouble coming to grips with his divorce and he took over Rose's bed that night.

Needless to say, she wasn't pleased with the fact that she didn't get to spend the night in her new room.

Looks like everyone wants to hang out in Rose's new room.

With her family getting on her nerves, Rose signed herself up for an after school activity.  She chose Art Club.

The divorce still hadn't changed the amount of help that Cycl0n3 gave, so the twins were still helping whenever Andee was out of the house.

Although she was helpful, Maisie seemed to follow in Rose's footsteps with all the pranks she'd been pulling lately.

Maisie even skipped school the next day which was something her older sister had never dared to do!  Luckily for her, it was the twin's birthdays and Andee was glad to have someone around.  First up was Payton.

And then it was little Portia's turn!

Rose decided to give her sisters a birthday present that she could also potentially benefit from.  She explained to her sisters that if they used the chemistry set, eventually they'd discover a potion which would turn their Imaginary Friends real.  In her mind, if she didn't find the Rainbow Gem, she would have her sisters give her a potion and it would be the perfect alternative.  Excited with the possibilities, Portia immediately took to the idea and started working right away to Rose's delight.

What will come first: the Rainbow Gem or the Potion?

Will Maeve and Maisie follow in their ambitious sister's footsteps or branch outside the household to attain popularity?

Will Cycl0n3 and Andee be able to put up with each other for their children?  Or will someone be moving out?
