The Durwood Legacy Ch. 6

Things had gotten pretty hectic with Andee's new pregnancy.  She couldn't go to work and money was tight, so unless Rose was drilling for things to sell there wasn't really any source of income.  With plans for Maeve and Maisie's room put on hold, she decided to try and discover the potion her daughters were all yearning for.

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure it's not very healthy to set a pregnant woman on fire so....she'll have to give up on that idea for now.

Maisie was extremely excited when she came home to find the ice cream truck right outside.  She LOVES ice cream!

And just to prove that the girls aren't total losers, she brought home one of her school friends. (See they do socialize sometimes I swear!)

That evening was Portia's ballet recital and Payton's badging ceremony.  The whole family attended both.

Even a very pregnant Andee waddled her way down to the school to support her daughters.

After the events of the night were over, the girl's awards went alongside their sisters.  Andee took a look at her daughter's accomplishments and felt very proud.  Her daughters had grown up well despite their hardships both with money and family.

Awww caught a really cute moment on camera!  None of the girls had really acknowledged Andee's pregnancy and then all of a sudden, Portia kept rubbing her mom's tummy!

The next day it was Rose's birthday!

She clapped her hands in excitement as she realized that her teenage years and school days were officially coming to an end.  Now she would be able to get a full-time job like she'd been wanting and really bring in some money for herself.

And here she is as a Young Adult!  She's actually quite pretty considering she wasn't a very attractive teenager.

Rose's final trait is Inappropriate and her LTW is Living In The Lap Of Luxury.

Of course Cuddles celebrated his birthday as well :)

After watching her half-sister celebrate her birthday, Maeve dashed off to school to participate in a debate.  She was then selected to be the Debate Club President!

Later that night while the girls were sleeping, Andee felt the first pangs of labor.   Without waking anyone, she called a taxi and got herself to the hospital.

As she waited outside for a few minutes, she realized that Stan would not be joining her for the birth of his child.  As she went through the doors of the hospital alone, she made a mental note to call off the engagement later.  It wouldn't matter if she had to raise this child on her own.  She'd done it before and wouldn't stand to be treated badly by yet another man.

Yes...that IS Andee returning home with...a basket.  You know what that means...twins.  And obviously they're girls. Looks like the first generation will be boy-less because I will not be forcing her to pop out any more.  Seven is MORE than enough.

Here is Andee holding baby Hadley.  She has the traits Genius and Light Sleeper.

And here is Maeve holding baby Madisen.  (I didn't know I had multiples at first and didn't give them same letter names :/ FAIL)  Madisen's traits so far are Loves the Outdoors and Easily Impressed.

Now that Rose hasn't been in school, she's been drilling a lot around the backyard.  It's provided her with enough money to help Andee finally finish Maeve and Maisie's room!

The girls are already obsessed with their room.  As soon as the room was revealed to them they immediately locked themselves inside to watch TV in peace and quiet for once in their lives.

Just one day later, it was the day of Rose's graduation ceremony.

Standing along with her classmates, she was nervous to finally close this chapter in her life.

She did it!  Rose managed to graduate as her class's Valedictorian and she was also voted Most Likely to Offend Others by her classmates!

A few days later there was more excitement in store for the Durwood Family.  It was Payton and Portia's birthdays!  Portia stepped up to her cake first.

With her family and Boinky cheering her on, she got ready to blow out her candles.

Once she finished, she grew up and became a teenager!

Personally, I find her just as beautiful as I did when she was a child.  Her new trait is Snob.

Next it was Payton's turn to blow out the candles.

And here she is as a teenager!

Her new trait is Neurotic.

So now that all of the girls have aged up, it's time for you to decide who you'd like to choose to be the second generation heir.  Andee has now achieved her LTW which was Surrounded By Family, and she would like to thank you for relieving her of her duties for childbearing.  So who will it be?

Rose?

Will the girls ever discover the potion to turn their Imaginary Friends real?

Will Andee follow through with her promise to herself and end the engagement with Stan?

Will Rose get a job she deserves?  Or will she continue to help Andee with her newborn sisters?

The Durwood Legacy Ch. 5

After the twin's birthdays, they each tried their hardest to discover the potion which would turn their Imaginary Friends real.  However, it never seemed to work out for either of them.  For some reason, they never seemed to be able to discover a single potion without an explosion occurring.

After countless times of being singed, the girls decided that they would refrain from discovering potions for a little while.  Right now they'd just be happy with their Imaginary Friends in their un-human form.

Things were going downhill in other aspects of the family as well...  Cycl0n3 was constantly making fun of his daughters and making rude comments.  One day he told Andee that Maeve must have gotten her looks from her because nothing that ugly could have possibly come from his genes.

This was the last straw for Andee.  Cycl0n3 could insult her all he wanted, but to insult their children was completely unacceptable.  "I'm glad you spend your free time picking out other people's flaws and walking around like you're so perfect all of the time.  How about you actually take care of your kids once in a while.  I did everything for them while they were little and you did nothing more than what a babysitter I could hire off the street would do."

"What do you want me to say Andee?  I'm sorry that I never wanted to come home to this dump?  You left this place a mess all of the time.  Who cares if you played with the kids for a half hour, this house was a disgrace every day.  Who would choose to live like this?!"

And with those comments, Andee lost control.  "You are no longer welcome in this house.  It's time for you to leave us alone so that we can be a real family.  I don't need your attitude bringing us down anymore, Cycl0n3!"

So, although it would tear apart his family, Cycl0n3 hopped in his car and threw one last look towards the house he had shared with Andee for years.  "Good riddance." he thought as he sped away.

After Cycl0n3 left, Andee sat down at the kitchen table and thought about what this would now mean for her family.  Not only had they lost a father figure, they had also lost their main source of income.  After thinking it over for a while, she decided to sell all of Cycl0n3's belongings that had been left behind.  She was going to turn this horrible situation into a positive one...and she had a surprise in store for Maisy and Maeve.  The new room added in behind Rose's room is actually going to be a new bedroom for Maisy and Maeve.  Andee loved all of her daughters very much and knew that they deserved the best.  Therefore, she vowed to use any money she made to give them everything they deserved.

She then went over to the computer and enrolled her youngest daughters in after-school activities so that they could make some more friends and gain social experiences outside of their home as their older sisters had done.  She enrolled Payton in Scouting and Portia in Ballet.

Andee confided in Rose about the new room for Maeve and Maisie.  Since it was a surprise, she didn't want to tell anyone else.  Rose knew what this would mean for her sisters because she could remember how excited she was when she first got a room away from the rest of her siblings.  She decided that she would take it upon herself to continue drilling around their backyard looking for items she could sell in order to give her mom money so that she could finish their room faster.

The next day, Andee was sitting around the house while the girls were all at school.  As she reflected on her life so far, she realized she hadn't focused on herself in a while.  Now that all of her girls were in school, she could use her days to find herself some happiness.  She also decided to make peace with those who had wronged her in the past.

She went to the park the next day in search of someone she could make friends with.  While she was there, she got a call from Hank (Rose's father).  She accepted the call and talked to him for a few minutes.  She even enjoyed some of his jokes.  Things were starting to look up for Andee.

After hanging up the phone, she came across someone she had never seen before.  His name was Stan Dingstill and Andee was immediately attracted to him.

Even though she was supposed to be focusing on herself, Andee was immediately smitten by Stan.  She used her charm instantly to catch his attention.

After a few short days of courtship, Andee had fallen hard for Stan.  She told herself it was true love, but others wondered whether it was a rebound from her tragic argument with Cycl0n3.

Rebound or not, Andee wasted no time at all before proposing to Stan.

Stan accepted immediately.  For he had become just as smitten with Andee as she had with him.  The two celebrated their pending engagement later that night.  (Don't worry! Andee made sure they used protection though.  Five children was more than enough for her).

Because she wasn't one for long engagements, Andee decided to throw her bachelorette party the very next day.  She took her household funds and splurged on a party atmosphere for the backyard.

All was going well and innocent until someone invited the party dancer...

It all would have been fine if he hadn't been in a uniform (Andee's weakness) and if he hadn't been so darn cute.

Well...I won't tell if you won't.

Needless to say, it was a pretty crazy night.  Don't worry, Andee didn't do more than kiss the party dancer (and we're going to blame that on the drinks she was throwing back all night).  Even Maeve got down with her bad self.

The next morning the house looked like a scene from The Hangover.  Both tv's were broken...

Cycl0n3 was passed out in the kitchen...(yes he was invited).

...and Rose was still dancing on the counter.

It wasn't until a few hours later when Andee was assessing the damages...that she found out she was pregnant. (This baby will not be in the running for potential heir).

Will Stan be excited to be a father?  Will he find out about the party dancer?

Will Maeve and Maisie's room be revealed before the baby arrives?

Will Rose find a way to turn Cuddles real before she grows up?
