The Durwood Legacy Ch. 4.1

Now that Rose was a teenager, she started to focus on herself a lot more than her family.  She knew she needed to find a Rainbow Gem to turn Cuddles real, but she wanted her own room just as much!  She went down to the consignment shop and spent her parent's money on a miner without telling them.  She figured that selling the things she found would give her more than enough to pay them back as she went on.

Her first night of mining, Rose brought back some space rocks, some gems, and a gnome for the yard!

The next day it was the twin's birthdays.  Andee waited until Cycl0n3 was at work and the girls were all at school before she celebrated.  Although she loved her family, she was starting to resent being left alone with no help.  She felt that she was the only person worthy of being at the twin's party.  First up was baby Payton...

...and afterwards with Andee!  Payton has Cycl0n3's eye and hair color.

Next up it was Portia's turn to have her birthday...

...and here she is with Andee.  She has Cycl0n3's eyes, and Andee's hair.

When Cycl0n3 returned home from work that day, he felt bad for not being there when the twins grew up.  He ignored Andee completely (he was angry with her for not waiting) and instead focused his attention on teaching Payton how to talk while Andee helped Portia learn to walk.

When Andee looked at the family bank account, she noticed that 600 Simoleons were missing.  She sat the family down for a meeting and that's when she learned of Rose's desire for her own room.  Andee thought that her request was reasonable, and instead of talking to Cycl0n3 first, she spent the rest of their family funds on an addition which will later become Rose's room as they get more funds to furnish it.  (Room all the way on the right)  As you can see, it's the only room in the house with a carpet and nice wallpaper.

Later that night, a burglar appeared on the premises.

Cycl0n3 called the police and an officer showed up immediately.

With the thief under control, the police officer returned the TV and couch that he had attempted to steal.

Payton is so adorable.  She's always so excited when she gets a bottle!

As Rose has been taking more and more time for herself, she has grown more unruly than ever.  Today she rigged a prank on both the shower and the toilet.

And she even went next door and egged the Landgraab's house!  She actually hit Mr. Landgraab in the face with one of her eggs...

...which earned her a police escort home.

As soon as she walked in the door, Cycl0n3 started scolding her for what she'd done.  Although she looked apologetic, inside she was formulating ways to undermine Cycl0n3's parenting.

She went to her mom and apologized for all of her horrible behavior lately including the prank she'd pulled on the toilet, and begged for forgiveness.

Andee saw right through Rose's little drama queen act.  Rose hadn't learned her lesson yet, and Andee was sure to tell her that Cycl0n3's punishment of grounding was still in effect.

Rose set out trying to earn back her parent's trust by doing household chores.  Although they hadn't yet lifted her punishment they allowed her to attend Maeve's badge ceremony for Scouts, and Maisie's recital for Ballet which were both that night.

How unfair is this!  Rose got taken home by the police for being out past her curfew because the recital and badging ceremony ran late.  Yet Maeve can ride home on her bicycle at the same time of night without getting in any trouble.

Although they knew she wasn't really trying to stay out past curfew, it was still pretty embarrassing to have your teenager brought home by the same police officer twice in one day.  It was going to take a lot more than Rose had originally thought to get her punishment lifted.  With the school dance only one day away, she got to work.

She even paid the bills!

Finally, the morning of her dance, Andee took back her punishment.

Will Rose get a date to her dance?

Will Andee and Cycl0n3 stay distant from one another?

Will Maeve and Maisie follow in their prankster sister's footsteps now that their birthdays are right around the corner?

The Durwood Legacy Ch. 3

When we last left the Durwoods, Rose had just aged up and become a child.  This is what she looks like and her third trait is Ambitious.

As she got on the bus for her first day of school, she nervously glanced at the bus driver.  She wasn't sure what she was getting herself into, but she knew she didn't have a choice when it came to her attendance.  And truthfully, she was happy to get out of her hectic household for a few hours five days a week.

With Rose and Cycl0n3 out of the house for the beginning of the day, Andee spent her time cleaning the entire household.  She finally got to attack the giant stack of old newspapers that was cluttering the front lawn, and all of the dishes that were covering every available surface.  She couldn't have been more happy with her progress.The days were finally starting to feel manageable again.

With all of their skills out of the way, the twins spent most of their time planted in front of the television watching their favorite shows.

And now that Rose was out of the house at school, Maisie finally found her opportunity to play with Cuddles.

With a face that cute I don't think Rose will be able to stay mad at her.

As soon as Maisie wandered away, Maeve moved in on Cuddles.  Seems that the twins want their own special friend to play with...shame they just don't play with each other.

Rose's first day at school didn't go very well.  They were doing a lesson about family trees in her class that day.  Seeing all of the other kids talk about their parents made her feel left out that she didn't know her dad.  She gave him a call when she got home from school and asked him if he'd come over to see her.

When Hank arrived he started immediately feeding Rose lies about how he'd always tried to see her but Andee wouldn't let him.  Although Rose wanted to believe him, she knew her mom would never do that to her.  Hank was still spinning tales about how he wanted to be a part of her life and walk her down the aisle at her wedding when Andee got home from work.

Rose watched on as her mother took charge of the conversation.  "How dare you ever try to talk badly to Rose about me?!  You can kiss your dreams of walking her down the aisle good-bye.  You'll be lucky if you're even invited to her wedding!  Cycl0n3 has been the only father figure she's ever known so don't even try to pretend you've wanted to be here for her."

"You can't just waltz in here and pretend that everything's alright.  Rose deserves someone in her life who deeply cares for her the way that Cycl0n3 and I do.  If I ever see you on my property again I will call the police." And with that Hank left without even saying goodbye to Rose.  For now she knew her father's true colors.

I don't know if it was because everyone could sense the tension and didn't want to be on Rose's bad side that night, but everyone slept through the whole night.

The next day at work, Andee was thinking about what had happened the day before.  She realized how lucky she was to have a man like Cycl0n3 who cared for not only her, but also Rose who wasn't even a blood relative to him.  She decided to rekindle some of those beginning sparks of romance they used to have that night when she got home from work.

Although Rose loved her family, she wasn't going to turn down any opportunity which would keep her out of the house a few hours longer.  So, she signed up for Girl Scouts after school.

The following day it was Cycl0ne's birthday.

Andee and Rose cheered him on as hard as they could.

Right after Cycl0n3's birthday, Andee found out that she was pregnant again!

With another baby on the way, Andee and Cycl0n3 used the money they had been saving up and put walls around the house.

They also splurged on a few more items such as a desk, and dining room table.

Funny glitch of Rose on the phone that I just HAD to post.  Today Rose got a phone call telling her that the science facility could turn Cuddles real!  However, she has to go on a hunt and find the special stone that they need in order to complete the process.

Even though Rose is now in school, she doesn't seem to be making any friends while she's there or while she's in Scouts.  Instead, when she gets home she spends all of her free time playing with her Imaginary Friend.

The day finally came for the twin's birthdays!  Cycl0n3 brought Maeve to her cake and she got ready to blow out her candles.

Right as she was getting ready to blow, the cake caught on fire!

Rose was completely traumatized by the fire and was having a hard time pulling it together while Maeve tried again.

This time around, there was an added guest to watch Maeve.  The firefighter!

And here she is as a child!  Her third trait is Absent-Minded.

Next, Andee brought Maisie to her birthday cake.

She took a deep breath and blew out her candles.

And here she is as a child! Maisie's third trait is Loner.

Maeve loved to sit with her daddy and pretend that she was driving a race car.

All of a sudden, Andee went into labor.  She thought that she'd be prepared for the pain the third time around, but it still hurt just as bad as the first and second times.

Andee had Cycl0n3 stay home and help the girls get ready for bed while she went to the hospital to deliver the baby...only to her surprise she had not one...but TWO babies.  That's right twins again. And of course...they're girls.

This is baby Payton.  Her traits are Virtuoso and Disciplined.

And this is baby Portia.  Her traits are Brave and Virtuoso.

The next morning, the girls woke up for school and were delighted to meet their new baby sisters.  They couldn't coo over them for long though...they had to catch the bus.  Maeve sat with Rose and Maisie sat farther back.  She liked to be alone after all. (Loner trait)

Rose stayed after school for Scouts and the twins got to work on their homework as soon as they got home.

When Rose got home with a friend from Scouts, they too joined the homework party.  It was nice to see the girls all working together and helping one another.  Especially since none of them have ever really been close.

Although there wasn't enough money for a birthday cake, Andee celebrated her birthday overjoyed with the support from her family.

The best part of Andee's birthday night?  The babies slept through it.  Looks like Payton and Portia are going to be much easier to handle than Maeve and Maisie were.  Also, Payton and Portia both received Imaginary Friends!

Two days and one paycheck later, it was time for Rose's birthday and there were enough funds to spend on a birthday cake!  Here she is thinking of a wish as she's cheered on by her mom and half-sisters.

And here is Rose as a teenager!  Her fourth trait is Virtuoso.

Now that Rose is a teenager is she going to try and turn Cuddles real? Or will she make other friends?
